The Timișoara Forum for European Values is a European platform for dialogue dedicated to democratic resilience, women’s leadership, youth engagement, culture as a pillar of social cohesion, competitiveness, civic participation, and the values that underpin the European project.
The Forum brings together European political leaders, diplomats, representatives of local and regional authorities, academics, civil society organizations, cultural actors, and business leaders to identify solutions and partnerships that strengthen Europe’s resilience.
Simultaneously, Romania, in its capacity as the acting Chair of the Central European Initiative (CEI), will host in Timișoara a meeting of the 16 Ministers of Foreign Affairs from the European member states of the organization. This event will take place back-to-back with the Timișoara Forum for European Values.
The meeting of the foreign ministers will formally mark the conclusion of Romania’s term as Chair of the CEI. The ministers are expected to adopt a joint political declaration addressing issues of common interest, including: support for the European integration of candidate countries; strengthening regional resilience in the current complex security environment; enhancing regional cooperation; and reaffirming the CEI’s special role in fostering direct links between EU member states and candidate countries from the Western Balkans and the Eastern Neighbourhood.
The Timișoara Forum for European Values is more than an annual event. It is a long-term investment in a European space for dialogue, built in a city whose identity is rooted in freedom, openness, and civic courage.
This year, the Timișoara Forum for European Values invites you to join a series of debates and conferences featuring prominent European political leaders, policymakers, experts, and public figures.
