The Role of Women in the Development of Romania

It gives us great pleasure to invite you to the International Conference “The Role of Women in the Development of Romania”, which is organized by the Employer Organization of Women Entrepreneurs from UGIR – OFA Ugir, in partnership with the Representation of the European Commission in Romania, and the support of BEROCC, an event that will take place in Bucharest, on November 7, 2023, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., at the Intercontinental Athenee Palace Hotel (Str. Episcopiei, no. 1-3).

In the European and global context where gender equality and equal opportunities between women and men is a current topic and part of the ESG policy that companies should implement, Romania does not occupy a leading place. What can we do to increase the level of involvement of women in all fields of activity, what are the European policies to support the active involvement of women in the life of society, what projects does the Romanian Government have to facilitate women’s access to resources, what is the role of women in the “economic revolution”, in the major transformation that the world economy must go through in the coming years, how important entrepreneurship education is and what is the added value that the involvement of women brings to the development process of a country as shown by the examples of good practices from the Nordic states, are just some of the topics we will debate during this event.
