New rules regarding availability of Official Gazette of Romania

On 2 April 2021, Law no. 57/2021 for the amendment of article 18 of Law no. 202/1998 regarding the organization of the Official Gazette of Romania was published in the Official Gazette. The new amendment came into force on 5 April 2021.

The Official Gazette of Romania will continue to be published both electronically and in printed format. While the printed format will continue to be provided to users for a price, there are certain amendments regarding the electronic form.

According to the newly published amendment, the electronic format of Parts I and II of the Official Gazette of Romania will be made available “free of charge and freely, on a permanent basis”. The electronic format will be accessible to all users on the same day it is published, and include search, save, sharing and print functions.
